Event Description Art, Gardens and Inspiration Bloom on Mother’s Day Weekend Looking for a Mother’s Day outing that feels relaxed, creative and distinctly North County? The 29th Annual Mother’s Day Weekend Art, Garden & Studio Tour returns Saturday and Sunday, May 9 and 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Hosted by the nonprofit San Dieguito Art Guild, this beloved self-guided driving tour invites visitors inside eight private homes across North San Diego County — each offering a blend of art, architecture and distinctive gardens. More than 30 Guild artists will exhibit and sell their work throughout the properties, including paintings, ceramics, glass, gourd art, fiber arts, photography and jewelry. Artists are stationed throughout the gardens, creating an open-air gallery experience where guests can meet makers, ask questions and purchase directly. Complimentary refreshments will be served at every stop. Each home offers its own personality and setting.

Event Description Be part of the Art of Reading Book Club, where art, literature, and art history converge. Join fellow Museum Members as we discuss, The Devil in Montmartre A Mystery in Fin de Siècle by Gary Inbinder. A murder shocks Montmartre—and Paris fears Jack the Ripper has arrived. Amid the glitter of the 1889 World’s Fair, Inspector Achille Lefebvre races to catch the “Paris Ripper,” with Toulouse-Lautrec considered one of his suspects. Coffee and light snacks will be served. Event Description The Art Glass Guild will be hosting their 2026 Spring Patio Show and Sale on May 9th and 10th. This show is the largest Art Glass show in Southern California and is focused on showcasing art created by local San Diego Glass Artists. Visitors will see the patio full of juried artists exhibiting their creations as they stroll through Spanish Village Art Center in Balboa Park.
