Event Description Voted Best Day Camp in San Diego Magazine’s “Best of San Diego 2025” Readers’ Picks, ArtReach’s Art Camp is a dynamic, creativity-filled program led by the Studio Programs Team. Designed for elementary-aged students, each camp explores a unique theme through hands-on art projects, collaborative activities, and playful learning. Campers engage in daily lessons inspired by contemporary artists, outdoor play, meditation, and an end-of-camp art show that celebrates their work. Held in our studio space, our camp fosters imagination, confidence, and connection, while promoting ArtReach’s mission to make visual arts education accessible to all youth. Our teaching staff plays a vital role in creating a safe, inclusive, and joyful environment where every camper can thrive.

Event Description Young artists will dip their brushes into the exciting world of multimedia art! With acrylic paint, watercolors, oil pastels, and more, students will explore a variety of surfaces and materials to bring their imaginations to life. Inspired by popular artists and treasured storybooks, each day is a new adventure celebrating self-expression, encouraging confidence, and spreading the joy of making art. To the canvas and beyond! Erica Hurley is a third grade teacher at Gillispie School. She recently returned to college and fulfilled her goal of earning a CA single-subject teaching credential in art. She is thrilled to begin a new chapter as an art teacher. She especially enjoys mixed media and three-dimensional art. When she’s not in the classroom, Ms. Hurley can be found spending time with her two children, gardening, baking, and of course, making art!

Event Description “Summer Days”, Escondido Art Association announces their June Gallery Show. (All subjects welcomed although theme entries are encouraged.) Take-in of art will be Saturday, June. 6th, 11-4pm. The show opens Saturday, June 9th and runs through Friday, July 3rd. Up to 2 entries of 2D & 3D art per artist are accepted with a Max size of 30” on any side for 2D art (including frame). Entry fees for non-members are $30 for the 1st entry & $5 each for 2nd & 3rd. Members receive a reduced rate of $20 for the 1st entry. Submissions can be made on the association website under the link, Submit Art. Local artist, L Retta Small will judge the show. The winning entries will be critiqued by the judge and her comments posted on the association website for public viewing.
