Event Description It’s just beautiful all along the Guajome Lake shore with water fowl, children, and lovely water vistas. Parking is $5 (bring ones) and restrooms are available. Open to All Levels! Whether you're a seasoned plein air painter or just starting your artistic journey, this event is for you! Beginners and experienced painters can find fresh inspiration in the urban and natural landscape. How to Participate: Register for the event on the San Diego Plein Air Painters Meetup Group site: https://www.meetup.com/painter-86/ Bring your painting supplies, easel, and canvases. Event Description Jolie is French for “pretty” and this round basket fits its name. Woven on a round wooden base, it highlights a weaving technique known as French Randing. Other weaves include twining, over-under interrupted, three Rod wale, and lashing a rim with waxed linen thread. The height of the basket can be controlled by the number of rows above and below the French Randing.

Each weekend in July, a different neighborhood will be activated through interactive craft programming. Enjoy exhibitions, tours, workshops, demonstrations, make-and-takes, and shop artisan crafts at the most vibrant craft spots in the region. In conjunction with Handwork 2026, a Craft in America Initiative. ***Visions Museum of Textile Art: Recognizing Guatemalan Heritage through food, craft, and art. Participants will learn how to make Guatemalan worry dolls, a craft originating in the Guatemalan highlands. This region is the focal point of "Snapshots of the Guatemala Highlands", a quilt exhibition by local artist Kathleen McCabe that will be on display at VMOTA.
