Join us for a discovery of the arts and culture in Long Beach. Explore contemporary Latin American art on a docent tour of MoLAA’s special exhibitions and permanent collection, featuring renowned artists from 20 countries. Enjoy lunch on the grounds of Rancho Los Alamitos, then tour the sprawling 19th-century adobe ranch home and four acres of carefully restored historic gardens.

Event Description The 2009 La Jolla Festival of the Arts takes place June 20th and 21st on the University of California, San Diego’s East Campus in La Jolla, CA. The 23rd annual La Jolla Festival of the Arts welcomes guests to enjoy the Festival’s newest attraction Calle Color ~ a live street chalking exhibition where nationally recognized Madonnari (street painters) will turn an asphalt canvas into a beautiful street of colors, an interactive chalk area for youngsters, and our Inaugural High School Street Chalking Competition. Additionally, we will offer more celebrity author lectures and book signings, a new site layout, and even a second entertainment area this year. So come spend the day with us and enjoy it all...great food, live music, and most importantly, spectacular ART!
