Event Description National wildlife art show and sale featuring 29 Artists. The art event showcases the wonderful world of the wild and rebids us of the importance of preserving its beauty. Nature’s diversity is evident in the art presented by artists from across the country working in a broad range of mediums and disciplines including plein air to portray the world’s wildlife and the landscapes that sustain them. Event Description Digital Photography & Photoshop Workshop Presented by Photographer Larry Vogel Two Day Digital Class May 1-2 Join Larry Vogel on a half day photo shoot at Point Lobos followed by Photoshop processing techniques at Wild Heart Gallery in the Village of Carmel Valley. Event Description Did you know that the Torrey Pine tree is one of the oldest trees on earth, and that San Diego is one of the only places that it grows? In this workshop, we will use local Torrey Pine needles to create our very own basket! Learn the ancient skills of coiled basket weaving, including preparation of materials, weaving techniques, and shaping/finishing techniques. Learn how to create a basket with a sense of place and involvement with local nature. Creativity is encouraged and everyone will leave the class with their own handmade basket! Please bring your own lunch or be prepared to purchase a lunch nearby at Liberty Station. No experience necessary and all materials are provided. Taught by Pat MacGillis.
