| Event Description |
The 30th Anniversary Celebration of Spike & Mike's Festival of Animation will be a unique and exciting experience featuring the most popular and award winning short animations from the festival's influential history. This years films include the early works of Disney Pixar Director Ralph Eggleston and over 10 Academy Award Winning or Nominated short animations. Taking place at the San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art in La Jolla between February 9th and March 30th 2013, the Festival of Animation will be a celebration all ages will enjoy.
The celebrity guest attending the opening night VIP party and opening weekend ceremonies and screenings will be David Silverman, the Director of Animation for The Simpsons and The Simpsons Movie.
"To celebrate 30 years we've scoured the world to build the grandest show that I've ever presented and quite possibly that ever could be presented. Period."

Listening to the voices inside ourselves can help us create our own imaginative worlds. “Solus” translates to mean alone, sole, or uninhabited in Latin. In old Irish it translates as clear or lucid. Voices are those interior dialogues we all have; those quiet and not so quiet voices in our heads that are, sometimes, all we are left with. Artists featured at Thumbprint Gallery’s upcoming show “Solus Voices,” Pamela Jaeger, Brian Dombrowsky, and Paul Brogden, will be embodying this theme through their creative works. The opening reception will be held at Thumbprint Gallery on Saturday, February 9.
