Event Description Featuring work by over 50 San Diego artists this silent and live art auction is a terrific opportunity to collect exceptional works of art while supporting OMA at the same time. The Art Auction exhibition opens October 5,2013 and will be on view until The Art Auction event takes place at OMA on October 26, 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. Bidding begins October 5 and closes October 26. Event Description Oceanside Museum of Art and San Diego History Center (SDHC) have collaborated with local art scholars to produce a joint exhibition that offers visitors a unique and diverse perspective from which to view our region’s landscape. Nature Improved: San Diego Artists Interpret Our Landscape, will open at SDHC on September 19 and at OMA on October 26 and will continue through January 26, 2014 at SDHC and February 23, 2014 at OMA. The dual exhibition—the first such collaboration between SDHC and OMA—is a juried invitational with submissions from local artists. The exhibition will present approximately 26 regional artists and comprise of 90 artworks between the two institutions. San Diego History Center Members Opening Reception will be Thursday, September 19, 5:30-7:30 pm. SDHC and OMA members and honored guests are complimentary. Oceanside Museum of Art Mega Exhibition Reception will be Saturday, November 16, 6-8 pm and is complimentary for OMA and SDHC members, $10 for nonmembers.

Event Description Come to the San Diego Air and Space Museum on Saturday, October 26, 2013 for our annual Halloween-themed pumpkin drop! See what happens when two pumpkins are dropped from our roof --- one with a parachute and one without. Will they survive?! Drops are at 2:30 PM, with more fun beforehand! Make ghost rotors (paper helicopters with a Halloween twist) in the education center at 11:30, 12:30, and 1:30 and watch them in the sky!
