ArtHatch and Distinction Gallery are excited to present a debut solo exhibition featuring the art of Victor Roman. This exhibit will showcase Roman’s most current paintings focusing on figurative subjects presented with a mix of classical perspective and urban technique. The Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 6-10pm with Live Music by Viva Apollo. Roman will be in attendance at the Opening Reception to meet, greet, and answer questions. Local artists within the ArtHatch building will have their studios open to the public as well. Complimentary Stone beer and wine will be served to guests.

Explore the exhibition James Drake: Anatomy of Drawing and Space (Brain Trash) and participate in a wine tasting and a life-drawing workshop led by a local artist in partnership with Veedercrest Wines. Bring friends and make new ones as you sketch the night away.
Participants must be 21 and older.

| Event Description |
The San Diego Art Institute is partnering with Low Gallery to present San Diego’s first ever, Monster Drawing Rally. This fun and interactive event will take place at the San Diego Art Institute on September 13, 2014 from 6pm-10pm, and will feature over 100 artists creating work to demystify the creative process. Spectators can watch as sketches develop into full-fledged artworks, immediately available for $60 each. Visitors can also get t-shirts and tote bags silkscreened at the event with one of three designs by L.A. artist Collin Burns. San Diego’s own killwave band Prayers will also perform a live set during the evening. Admission for this event is $5.
