Event Description Reimagine picnic favorites to kick off summer! We are happy to continue Eat Better Art, a series of cooking classes at The New Children's Museum. These classes are designed to bring parents and children together in the kitchen as they learn about good nutrition and create delicious dishes! Each child and adult pair will create seasonal dishes with the assistance of our experienced teaching chefs. At the end of class, participants will be able to enjoy the delicious foods that they made. Participants will also be able to take home the recipes and the special art project they complete!

Event Description An Exhibit at the Nexus of Art, Architecture, and Regional Urban Issues - MEGABLOCK at Space 4 Art Examines Reverse Sprawl and the Uneven (Re)Development of Metropolitan San Diego. The walls of Space 4 Art will act as a platform for displays produced by contributing artists Shane Anderson, James Enos, Elizabeth Hensley C., and Charles G. Miller; as well as a selection of materials produced through Periscope Project, a nonprofit organization committed to committed to art, architecture, and regional urban issues formerly housed in 5 shipping containers in the East Village. The exhibit will include camera obscura photographs of the East Village by Shane Anderson, drawings and text by James Enos, a wall diagram by Elizabeth Hensley C., video by Charles G. Miller, and a collaborative installation with the artists of Space 4 Art. Opening reception to feature Space 4 Art Open Studios VIV VATES DJ/Projection
