Event Description San Diego Pottery Class Starts Thursday, August 20, 2015 Get Centered Clay Studio Tuesday and Thursday nights 6 – 9 pm Get Centered Clay Studio, 8186 Center Street, La Mesa, CA 91942 Learn from internationally recognized La Mesa Ceramist Douglas Kenney. His art is in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian American Art Musuem’s Renwick Gallery http://americanart.si.edu/collections/search/artwork/?id=60240 All skill levels welcome. Drop ins are okay. Wheel throwing will be the focus along with clay preparation, glazing and firing will be covered. Classes consist of (4) or (8) 3 hour sessions, $30 for each class - clay supplies and firing extra. Event Description The summer excitement continues! Join us for evening tours of Dear Nemesis, Nicole Eisenman 1993–2013, soundscapes provided by DJs from The Roots Factory Art Collective, and a cash bar. Enjoy savory picnic bites by local restaurant Finch’s Bistro & Wine Bar, or BYOP (Bring Your Own Picnic) at this extended-hours event that offers the opportunity to mingle with old friends and new in the seaside Edwards Family Sculpture Garden. This program is free for everyone; Members will receive a complementary drink when showing their Membership card.
