Event Description |
This book art class focuses on one book structure at a time, condensing the lectures, demonstrations and studio time, to cover material quickly. The 3-day class will look at specific bindings – books with and without sewing, with and without glue; books that do not look ‘handmade’ and books that do, historical book structures and books that problem-solve the use of heavy papers, digital coated papers, unusual materials, and editions. Beginners are welcome and will find expert introductory instruction. Those with more experience can practice, refine, and expand their book repertoires.
Susan Mills is a hand bookbinder and a visual artist who works entirely in book form.
