Event Description Class time (Mondays): 5:30p-9p; Open Studio (Wednesdays): 5:30p-8p | Instructor Richard McDonnell | This is an ongoing class where students work at their own pace and skill level. The instructor offers help as requested. Please note the firing cycles of pieces created in the class is based upon size and shape for kiln loading. Students are instructed to speak with the instructor if their pieces aren't being fired to determine the reason. Our fully equipped Ceramics Studio features: 12 electric wheels, 5 kilns (2 electric, 2 gas firing to Cone 10, and 1 Raku), a slab roller, spray booth, clay extruder, and large work surfaces for hand-building. All clay used in this class must be purchased from the FSA Ceramics Department - $12 for 25# (we offer a variety of clays). Only glazes provided at the studio are to be used in order to prevent any firing problems (we offer a variety of glazes including Cone .06, .6 and .10). Only work created in class will be fired.
