Event Description |
This workshop is for fiber artists passionate about the natural world. Melody teaches the myriad strategies and techniques she employs in her landscape quilts. Students learn to see the art of the land: light, color, line, shape, texture, and movement. You will study the work of other landscape artists, explore various ways to represent nature, and learn to work with reference photos.
Melody Randol's quilt, Moored, received the most votes for the Viewer's Choice Award in the juried biennial exhibition, Breakout: Quilt Visions 2016. Moored was created from a photograph Melody captured during her trip to Japan after winning the Quilts Japan Award in Quilt Visions 2014.
Held at Rosie’s Calico Cupboard classroom, Monday-Friday 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. $600
