Starting at either end of a 16-foot wall, two artists - Hugo Crosthwaite and Jose Hugo Sánchez - will “compete” in a live durational performance over five full days, improvising a pictorial narrative on migration, dislocation, labor, and the plight of the Mexico-U.S. border region they call home.
Crosthwaite and Hugo Sánchez will “enter the ring” at 10 AM on Tuesday, November 7, 2017; each day representing one round of battle. The physical, emotional, and mental contribution to this artistic feat culminates with a completed socio-political, narrative mural on view Saturday, November 11 at 8 PM. |
