R.B. STEVENSON GALLERY is pleased to announce the exhibition "Echoing Light" by Los Angeles artist Astrid Preston at our new main level space at 7661 Girard Avenue, La Jolla, California. The Opening Reception for the Artist will be on Saturday June 16th from 5 to 8 pm. This exhibition is the second solo presentation of the artist work at R.B. Stevenson Gallery; an illustrated catalog will accompany the show with an essay by Robert L. Pincus. "These paintings – and their titles – coax us into paying attention – not only to the paintings, which richly reward such scrutiny, but also to the details of the world at large. Preston assembles the elements of her paintings into a poetic whole; the image is permeated by a perception of how beauty, physical and perhaps metaphysical, which manifests itself in gardens, assumes an even more inspiring form in Preston’s new paintings." Event Description

Joseph Bellows Gallery is pleased to announce its upcoming exhibitions, Dana Montlack: Seeing Through Water, Seeing Through Weather and Summer Selections; a group exhibition featuring work by many of the gallery’s artists. Both exhibitions will have a reception on Saturday, June 16th from 6-8pm. The exhibitions will continue through July 27, 2018. Throughout the main gallery, Summer Selections will feature the photographs of: Charles Johnstone, Betty Hahn, Judy Fiskin, Roger Minick, Grant Mudford, Stephen A. Scheer, John Schott, Sage Sohier, Jack D. Teemer, Jr., Roger Vail, and others whose images express the subtle joys, grand adventures and classical themes of summertime. Running concurrently with Summer Selections, Joseph Bellows Gallery will be presenting in its Atrium gallery, Dana Montlack: Seeing Through Water, Seeing Through Weather.
