Week 1 : June 22nd - June 25th
Title :  Color Your World !
Teacher : Taylor Chapin (Ages : 5 - 7)
Price for Camp :  Members - $200.00, Non-members - $220.00

Description : Campers will explore the everyday world in new ways through guided introduction to a rich and varied spectrum of approaches to painting and drawing. Campers will be introduced to different artists and art history movements as they experiment with their own creative and playful ways to use watercolor, acrylic paint, screen printing, through both 2-D and 3-D projects.

Teacher Bio : Taylor Chapin was born and raised in Encinitas, CA. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from San Francisco Art Institute in 2016. She is currently pursuing her Master of Fine Arts in Visual Arts from University of California San Diego. Primarily working in both oil and acrylic, her paintings emphasize pattern, light, reflection, and repetition. Kitsch, consumerism, euphemisms and voyeuristic separation are examined to suggest the inherent comedy, and absurdity, of daily life. She has shown her work throughout San Diego and is currently working on an exhibition for the Oceanside Museum of Art. She has worked as an arts educator, primarily working with kids ages 6-12, for the past four years.
