Working outdoors in the landscape is always inspiring—each moment and every place is unique and beautiful. Plein air painting is an excellent way to learn about oil painting technique and triumph over creative issues while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow artists.
The class will emphasize value study, landscape composition, and color theory using a limited palette taught through demonstration and individual instruction.
The first class will meet at the Children’s Pool Lifeguard Station, 850 Coast Blvd., La Jolla, 92037.

Matsuri Vibes is an exhibition by Japanese based artist, Kensuke Takahashi, that reconstructs traditional Japanese festival culture from a unique perspective. The artist creates murals based on his experiences traveling around Japan, listening to the stories of local people and experiencing festivals. |
