Quint Projects is pleased to present Ocular Evidence, Ryan McGinness’ fifth solo exhibition with the gallery. Please save the date for the opening reception on Saturday, November 11th from 6-8pm with an artist talk starting at 5pm.
This exhibition of new paintings and cyanotypes provides evidence of the many different bodies of work McGinness has been exploring in recent years—from self-reflective Studio Views with process-referencing subject matter to iconic Signals, Skateboards, Mindscapes, and Black Holes. Large and small works, both colorful and monochromatic, fill the gallery exemplifying the artist’s range within his signature graphic aesthetic. “Ocular evidence” is a term McGinness came across while doing research for a large-scale public art project commissioned by the US government to be completed in 2018 at the San Ysidro/Tijuana border crossing. |
