Quint Gallery is pleased to announce the opening reception of the exhibition, ADAM BELT: ALMOST THERE. This is the third solo exhibition at the gallery for the artist. The exhibition opens on Saturday, May 11th with a public reception from 5-7 pm, the artist will be in attendance.
The works from ALMOST THERE include reflective paintings, sculpture, and wall and video installations. The exhibition grew from a creative wanderlust engaging the artist\'s connection to place, phenomena and concerns that arise from a lifetime of exploration of the landscape. The artist states, \"At its fundamental level, my artistic practice is a religious vocation resulting in a contemplation of physical and phenomenological aspects of our world, the cosmos, God, and religion. However, the impetus for me becoming an artist was a need to connect with the silence and sense of eternity in the landscape experienced growing up in New Mexico. The works featured in ALMOST THERE are born from a return to the landscape as the source for my work.\" |
