Event Description |
Hope Made Visible TM is a moving art project led by Dr. Alessandra Colfi, under the auspices of San Diego Cancer Research Institute, that transforms the perception of those affected by cancer by raising empathetic awareness and restoring hope and resilience. Using expressive arts therapy to assist individuals in processing their healing journeys, with hope as well as grief, Dr. Colfi shares art flags created by cancer patients and their loved ones to illustrate purpose, comfort, and solidarity both locally and internationally. The University Library at California State University San Marcos, in collaboration with the CSU Shiley Institute for Palliative Care, is exhibiting 1,000+ flags created by patients and family members from all over the world. |
