"Inspired by the works of the ancient artisans, religious manuscripts, and modern masters, Duke will guide the student through a two-day exploration of the history, tools, and many facets of applying gold, silver, and copper leaf on simple and complex projects, sculptural, experimental, and more. The student will take away from this workshop the basics of water-based gilding techniques and will be able to utilize this medium for various personal creative projects.
This workshop will be two six-hour sessions and will help each participant open up to a new element of artistic creation.
Breaks will be provided. It is also encouraged for the students to bring their lunch. Microwave is available.
