Kensington’s Edgeware Gallery, is the newest gallery in the Kensington community. It is sponsored and supported by Autism Research Institute, which has been a fixture in the neighborhood for over forty years. In commemoration of Kensington’s 100th anniversary, Edgeware Gallery is hosting Kensington’s first ‘LOCALS ONLY” exhibition – exclusively featuring Kensington artists
Brad Burkhart ,Kim Maria Cruz, Susan Mae Hull , David Hunt, Conrad Macheski ,Tara Nichole, Bill Pierce ,Mark Rimland , Michael Starkow and Maura Vazakas.
Opening reception on Saturday February 27, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.,
According to Dr. Steven Edelson, Director of Kensington’s Autism Research Institute and Edgeware Gallery “ Our Kensington heritage , is something we are very proud of .and we are doing our part to bring the outside public to the area, and generating awareness of neighborhood’s restaurants, shops, movie theatre and businesses.
This exhibition will feature a variety of works including watercolors, posters, woodblock prints, sculptures, and photographic based pieces. In addition, several of the pieces will feature Kensington landmarks recognizable to locals.
In keeping with the Kensington theme, at 6:00pm, long-time local favorite, Gregory Page, will be performing an acoustic guitar set in the Courtyard.
