We are writing to you as a noted artist or art organization in the San Diego area to invite you to consider presenting an exhibition of your work in our gallery. La Jolla Art Association has a new location in the La Jolla Shores area and artists, photographers, sculptors and art organizations who wish to rent our gallery are booking shows for this year and next.
All through the year, La Jolla attracts sophisticated visitors and art collectors. Nowhere else can you have desirable gallery space for an affordable fee in this prestigious area of San Diego.
Have a solo show. Join together with other artists whose work you admire and put together your own group show. Showcase the talents of the members of your organization. You decide who will exhibit. You decide on the concept. You decide on your show date. You decide if the show is one week or one month. To see which time periods are available, consult the LJAA calendar at www.lajollaart.org and click Events on the left side of our web page
The gallery has 100 linear feet of wall space (approximately 40 pieces of artwork can be hung on the walls plus an additional 4 –8 pieces on various sized easels. There are pedestals for sculptural pieces.)
The gallery rental fee is $600 per week for a non-member plus a 25% sales commission. Set up and take down are on Sunday evening.
If you are interested, please stop by our gallery and look us over. To lock in your desired time slot, we require your signed rental agreement and a $200 non-refundable deposit.
To request a copy of the rental agreement or receive more information, email Kris de Young, President at president@lajollaart.org
About LJAA: The La Jolla Art Association was founded in 1918 by several well known watercolor and California plein air painters, including Maurice Braun, Charles Fries, Alfred Mitchell, and A. R. Valentien. Over the years, membership has expanded to approximately 200 painters, photographers, sculptors, and digital artists who live and work in San Diego County. As part of our mission, our non-profit organization brings fine art to the community by mounting new art shows every few weeks, presenting the work of area artists and sponsoring national, juried exhibitions that reflect the American art world today. Our gallery sells fine art at affordable prices. It is open daily and free to the public.
