Douglas Simay's Best Picks of WORLD Exhibitions Doug's Best Picks of LA: June 2009We are pleased to present this occasional but ongoing selection of art exhibitions chosen by one of the premier collectors of San Diego. Doug Simay is a board member of the Oceanside Museum of Art. He is also curator of the online art site Simayspace and former co-director of The Art Academy. He is a self confessed "arts tourist" If he is not traveling internationally, he goes to LA for 2 to 3 days every month, routinely visiting about 60 - 80 LA galleries. He says "I know my way around LA as if it was my own backyard." Now we are pleased to present his suggestions for art in his world travels as well LA and San Francisco.
