Conversations on Beauty : Uniting Matter & Spirit, Creating a Whole Student, presented by Ilan-Lael Foundation is an ongoing discussion forum that examines the concept of beauty and the role it plays in shaping our society and our world. Seduced by Dance is a solo show featuring the Dance Photography by Raymond Elstad opening on Friday Night Liberty, Nov 4th from 5 to 8 pm. The show will run the entire month of November at the NTC Promenade of Liberty Station. There will also be dance performances by Malashock Dance, the Jean Isaacs San Diego Dance Theater and the San Diego Ballet during the opening. Best of all they will be serving Blackberry Mojitos during the reception

Synergy Art Foundation is inviting local artists to participate in a fun and creative fundraiser called From Blanks To Beauty. All monies will benefit Synergy's Emergency Artists' Support League (SD-EASL), which has, since 2003, provided grants to numerous local visual artists in catastrophic circumstances. SD Art Prize Award Recipients for 2011 are featured in Booth 11 & 12 at Art San Diego Contemporary Art Fair from Sept 1 -4. Watch for Ruben Ortiz-Torres with emerging artist Tristan Shone and Jay Johnson with emerging artist Adam Belt presented by San Diego Visual Arts Network. Special video/photo display of all 4 of the SD Art Prize recipients at the fair by Melissa Au.

We are proud to be the fiscal agents for Arts Month SD 2011 and present the SD Art Prize at Art San Diego Contemporary Art Fair as our September event. Click here for free pass.

The 6th Annual University Heights Arts Open/Taste of University Heights will fill the neighborhood with food and fun on Sunday, September 18 from Noon to 5 p.m. Sample tasty treats from a variety of restaurants and view the creative works of local artists on this self-guided tour. The UH Arts Open is free to the public.  Tickets for Taste of UH are $20 in advance/$25 the day of the event.  For more information check out www.uharts.org.
